Despite the limitations placed on him by society, Bojji has dreams of becoming a great king someday. With Kage, a shadowy creature who turns out to be a loyal friend and companion, he sets out to prove his worth. Together, they embark on a journey through a world brimming with magic, terrifying monsters, political affairs, complex relationships, and intertwining storylines. WIT Studio adapted it into an anime and aired it from October 2021 to March 2022, followed by a spin-off ‘Ranking of Kings: The Treasure Chest of Courage’ released in 2023. The anime, alongside the unique art style and moving storytelling of the manga, quickly gained international popularity ranking it within the top Read Ranked Manga spots after its release.
